Sundays

We do Sundays together to glorify God. It’s all about Him.

“Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:15-16 (ESV)

Activities for Kids on Sundays

We love kids! At Westchester Chapel, children of all ages are welcome to the service. There is always a table in the back of the room with Bible worksheets and supplies. We want children and families to have the opportunity to participate in worship and hear the Word together. As we move toward a new church facility, our plans are to have rooms for the kids. Until then, we use creativity to grab their attention, point them to the Bible, and get them involved in worship services.

Bible Studies

We are devoted to learning God’s Word, surrounding ourselves with its truth, and living it out daily.

“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul...You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way...” Deuteronomy 11:18-20 (ESV)

Mission

We are called to be disciples, following Jesus into a way of life that is wonderfully uncommon, unexpected, and often, untried in contemporary culture.

“While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ Immediately they left their nets and followed him.”  Matthew 4:18-22 (ESV)

Our mission is to be: “A picture of biblical Christian community, abandoned to the Lord God almighty, making disciples and destroying strongholds.”

Creative Events

From the beginning, God was using creativity to express  his plans for mankind—he directed his prophets to grab attention through some very eye-opning events in the Old Testament, and Jesus himself was always using the visual and spoken word in very creative ways to draw attention to the Word. Using this biblical directive, we discovered early on in our ministry that people will come to creative events as a step toward finding God. The experience and surprise of the Word given in creative ways often opens doors to the heart!
